Rusty
Housed within an existing building shell, this interior refurbishment for a national clothing label provides a 'skin and bone' industrial aesthetic with a strong sense of corporate identity.
Existing ceilings have been removed to expose the structural skeleton, mechanical and electrical plant over - the 'bones' of the building being celebrated. Narrow passages and dark spaces have been eliminated, open planning to design and administration teams has been achieved with a sense of transparency and integration reflecting the dynamic processes of the company - a left brain / right brain synergy.
A smooth flowing and efficient warehouse racking system has been incorporated at the rear of the building - the engine room.
Thus the separate departments of administration, merchandising, warehouse and dispatch combine as a unified and effective whole.
