Client Brief:
The client’s brief was for a combined lunch bar and seminar room facilities that suited both the blue collar and white collar workers in the area.
Design Solution:
All the requirements for space and the separate functions of the building were met. The ground floor provides for the lunch bar and services with indoor seating, and access to the seminar rooms and amenities located on the upper floor. A large awning to the north provides shelter for the alfresco area whilst also defining the separate entry to the lunch bar
The building has a strong industrial aesthetic which was achieved by the use of metallic colorbond cladding and a natural finish to the exposed steel framework on the building and awnings. The contemporary colour palette of silver, red and purple was selected to compliment the building adjacent, also owned by the client.
The internal fitouts were completed by others.
